Childbirth Ed to Build Confidence, Reduce Fear

February 20, 2013

Interactive, fun, and supportive of your choices — that’s what Blooma’s Complete Childbirth Education promises for your childbirth ed experience.

An example of the result of a confidence exercise we do during Blooma's Complete Childbirth Education. The affirmation labels are messages from the moms' partners that they will say during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum to to remind mamas of their strength and love.

Not only that, our three educators (also certified doulas) make it their mission to stomp out fear and build confidence.

“I LOVED this class! I think it helped so much to erase a lot of my worries and fears that surround pregnancy and birth.  It was great because I was forced out of my comfort zone to stay open and feel supported. Absolutely AMAZING experience… Thank You! Thank You!” – expectant Mama

Great Expectations – follow Liz’s pregnancy!

December 29, 2010

Liz Abbene at 36 weeks. Go, mama, go!

One of our beloved Blooma teachers, Liz Abbene, has been blogging about her pregnancy for Lamaze International since June. Now at 36-37 weeks, Liz is almost ready to deliver her sweet little boy or girl!

For those of you who don’t know Liz, who is a DONA-certified doula and doula-trainer, let us brag on her just a bit. She teaches Enlightened Mama childbirth education (Lamaze), leads Blooma’s weekly New Mama Group, teaches cloth diapering and breastfeeding, and is a certified breastfeeding counselor. Whew! Yeah, we think she’s pretty amazing, too.

Check out Liz’s pregnancy blog and follow her story, shared with such heartfelt honesty, as she prepares to birth her fourth child. She demonstrates such strength and grace even during the most challenging times. And stay tuned for some good news soon!

Watch the beautiful belly grow! Liz at 14 weeks.

Hi Sarah,

Thank you for the informative two-day birthing class. Mike and I learned a lot and we were able to put it to good use right away! We started labor at 2:30 a.m. early the next morning (Oct. 1) right after our class with you. We delivered Joseph Michael at 10:30 that night, 8 lbs, 4 oz, 21.5 inches, all natural! We couldn’t have done it without the confidence we gained in your class!

Blessings!
Elena & Mike
